The Heuer Monaco McQueen wore for Le Mans 1971 was sold at auction in 2012 for US$799 500.Replica Watches It was not a Submariner, and it wasn't a watch McQueen had personally. However, it was an important piece of McQueen history.
McQueen bought the Submariner in 1964 and later gave it to Loren Janes, his friend and stuntman. Janes kept the watch for most of his life. Then, in July 2016, the historic Sand Fire stole his house.

Paul continued to add, "The watch was no question owned and worn McQueen as Loren Janes' letter [which the watch is accompanied] clearly states that McQueen gave it to him."

McQueen's 5513 was set for sale at their second New York sales on October 25th. It is special because McQueen had written a message to Janes on the watch's back. It is therefore the only watch to have the man's name engraved on it.
